I’m a native of Cuba. Growing up in a communist country I saw a lot of injustice. Those daily injustices would be something that would stay with me for the rest of my life. When I was thirteen years old I had an opportunity to come to the United States with my family and pursue an education. It was then that I realized that injustice does not only exist in communist regimes. Since I was old enough to think I vowed to fight injustice wherever it may exist.
After getting my law degree I went to work for Miami Dade County’s Public Defender’s office. While there I handled hundreds of cases and won everything from misdemeanor to murder charges in front of juries. It was there that I learned that there is no more powerful weapon against injustice than a skilled trial lawyer and a fair minded jury.
Perfecting the skill of trying cases to juries is my life-long pursuit. A pursuit that goes hand in hand with helping people get the justice they deserve. After all, we are in the people-helping business.
I practice in the areas of personal injury and homeowners property insurance claims. The one thing that these areas of the law have in common is that they both have the capacity to devastate a person’s life and destroy families.
I put my skills honed during years of trying cases to juries to help you get your life back to normal.
I earned my B.S. degree in Computer Science from Florida International University in 2008. I then earned my Juris Doctor degree from the Florida International University College of Law in 2013.
